Welcome to St. Bonaventure
Secular Franciscan Fraternity
Living the Gospel, witnessing to the Franciscan Charism as lay people,
and faithfully serving metro-Detroit since May 29, 1887

The St. Bonaventure Healing Service Social
A Healing Service is celebrated at St. Bonaventure Monastery Chapel every Wednesday and on the last Sunday of every month at 2 p.m. Following the service, refreshments and light snacks are offered in the dining room adjacent to the Chapel in the Solanus Casey Center. The socials on each Wednesday of the month are sponsored by the St. Bonaventure Secular Franciscan Fraternity. Some of our members not only purchase and prepare the refreshments and snacks, but also are on hand to greet and chat with those who come to the social.

The Capuchin Soup Kitchen & Service Center
As a response to the Great Depression, our St. Bonaventure Secular Franciscan Fraternity collaborated with the Capuchins to start the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Planning is in process for our St. Bonaventure Secular Franciscan Fraternity to serve the meal one night a month at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
